and, im sure, at least according to American Idol fans, due to her hard work, christian virtues, blah blah blah...
Hard Work? Hard work is taking diction training in 5 languages, learning to play at least one instrument to proficiency besides voice, knowing how to sight read music and count out rhhythms, and having a range of more than 1.5 octaves for more than the 2 seconds it takes to slide out of key so you sound 'gospely'. There is an amazing independent film about this subject called "B4MD" (Before the Music Dies) that demonstrates in one portion the homogenization and creation of a 'pop star' from a girl that can barely sing but 'looks good'. Traditional music instruction teaches more than just 'how to sing that classical crap'. The physical skills alone would tire out most professional 10 take wanna-be computerized pop singers. Give me a break. The hardest work most of these AI types have to do is not break a nail or get a hair Frizz.

Mmm...dentist
So, I went to the VA ( A real blessing-I can get medical care for myself all the time, and dental care because i'm a student and the VA is paying for the schooling) to have my teeth checked because 'something' didn't feel right. Come to find out there was some cleaning that needed to be done and some decay on my top wisdom teeth-so, xrays and diagnosis were on Monday, on Tuesday I was in the chair having two wisdom teeth removed. Wham bam thank you ma'am. The VA is VERY efficient when they want to be and within 20 minutes the doc had me inspected, injected, checked for infected, and teeth removed. "You'll just feel some pushing here......." CRACK!
Umm...thanks doc. I'm glad for it, and that I had minor/major procedure done and my insurance didn't have to pick it up, but Ive been to a dentist about 5 times in my life including that time so I was apprehensive before and a bit shocked after. The pain killers are nice, though. I'm really liking that.....eating is fun.
Not that I have regulars that read here, but if I did, theres an update!
My co-worker is having issues with her DH-he isn't very open and they have been married for some time and have sort of a room-mate type of thing going on. She wishes he'd be more physical and initiate, he doesn't really compliment her much or acknowledge her alot without some direct reason or if he wants something. Great....I don't know what to tell her. She reminds me of my wife and some of the reasons I married her, but I can't really tell my co-worker that, now can I? Maybe Ill go home and tell my wife that instead and SHE can tell my coworker....Love you, honey.
