My favorite whipping post did it again. This time its dancing in HS dances (see
Here) The worst part, though, is the comments from parents and kids that act like fucking on the dance floor while barely wearing something resembling clothes is okie dokie. I just don't get it. Several people say it's being 'blown out of proportion'. It wouldn't be so 'blown out of proportion' if many of you lazy-yes LAZY parents bothered to do your jobs instead of blaming the school because you leave them to do it instead. I'm a parent-of three, and I'm 30 and im in college again, so I'm close enough to the HS/college crowd on a regular basis to know almost as much about their 'media' as they do. You parent buy them a computer and then don't know what they are doing. You pay for cable or dump them off at the movies so my wife can babysit them when she SHOULD be helping to manage the place instead, because that, after all, is her job. You give them keys and don't know where they are going because you stupidly assume that when they say they are somewhere that they really are; after all, they bothered to call, isn't that enough? I hated my parents for most of my junior high and high school years. THATS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. Be their friend in college when they need an adult friend that isn't a jackass and knows something. Be their parent before that, or some of them won't make it that far.
