Absinthe has finally been approved for distribution in the US! After decades of being banned, mostly due to high pressure from the spirits industry at the time, it will finally be available in Lincoln, NE in the next few weeks!
So nice to know that at least one person thinks that people who can afford 70.00 for a bottle of really good spirits need to be babysat.

" How lovely, to give info on a new way to hallucinate via an herbal drug that was previously banned in a high-powered alcohol base, complete with directions where it can be purchased. What a community service you've done with this article! Not!! "'

Im glad, then, Nina, that we live in a free country where 21 year olds can make their own choice. Incidentally, had you read the article you would have seen that the absinthe that is being distilled today is nothing like the product that was banned. You can buy many other spirits in Lincoln with 62 percent alcohol or more, and as the article stated, the thujone content effect has never been proven demonstrated. Please save your ire for the weekend case drinkers and high school students-any serious spirit drinker that can afford 70.00 and up for a bottle of something like this is more than mature and cultured enough to not be baby-sat by the likes of you.
